      Hi Robby,

      I try to ski as often as I can but it depends on the weather a lot. The ski season on Svalbard lasts from November until May but I don’t go out much in the winter months as it’s too dark and cold. We don’t have any ski lifts or anything here so if you want to ski downhill you have to climb up it first (or ask someone to tow you up from the back of a snow mobile!). This year the weather has been very warm so a lot of the ski tracks around town have melted and then frozen over as solid ice so you can’t ski on them. If we get some more snow then I like to try to get out on a few weekends in March – May.
