I got to work out how some lakes were forming in Antarctica using computer modelling which was really exciting when some other scientists went out to the ice shelf and dug up one of the refrozen lakes and found out I was right. It’s really cool how much you can figure out just using a few equations about something that’s thousands of miles away

I discovered a particular kind of wave that happens on the Sun. This wave is so small our telescopes can’t see it on their own – I had to use some cool processing to make my waves stand out. You can see the video of this wave on my profile page. No one has seen this kind of wave before, and it is useful because it might help me work out when flares on the Sun will happen, before they actually do, a bit like forecasting the weather.
