• Question: what happens when you fart in space

      The gas doesn’t go anywhere which I think means it can get quite unpleasant from astronauts on the international space station when some does!!

      It’d also make for a smelly astronaut suit if you were in it. If, you could survive out in space without a suit then if you farted you could actually use the fart to propel yourself along. It’s just one of Newtons Laws of motion. Admittedly you would have to do a huge fart since you are so big (compared to all of the atoms that make up a fart).
      If you are in the space station then the other problem is that there is not much air flow so if you farted then the smell would hang around you so everyone would know it was you.
